Line / area trend scaffold drawing straight segments between samples — bucketed aggregates have no in-between values to imply, so nothing is smoothed at readable point spacing. A single-series area (bright 2px line over a soft fade-out wash, ink endpoint marker + direct label, metric selector, day/week/month toggle) and a dual-series line (no area wash, bright cyan × ink, legend series toggle, goal-event dropdown). Gridlines are solid hairlines; scrub either plot — the crosshair snaps to the nearest point and the read-out leads with the value.
